Dear Science Fair Participant, We at the PTA are so happy you've decided to participate in the Science Fair, Wednesday night, March 28, 2007, at 7:00 pm. Here's what to do. Bringing the projects to school: You bring your project to the all-purpose room any time after 6:30 PM on the night of the fair, Wednesday, March 28. Schedule 6:30 pm All-purpose room open for setting up your project. 7:00-7:30 Students and guests view the projects 7:30-8:30 Interviews with scientists, starting with youngest students 8:30-9:00 More project viewing time 9:00 Fair ends. Display Each project must stand up on its own. 3-section display boards may be purchased at office supply stores and art supply stores for about $7.00. You may also make a display board from poster board supported by a box - anything goes as long as the project can stand alone on a table. Interviews You will have a chance to discuss your project with one of the volunteer scientists at the fair. The scientists are very excited to see kids doing real science, and they are eager to answer any science questions you have about your project. They are not going to test you or judge your project, so don't be nervous! Remember the safety rules No fire or flames. No animals, alive or dead. No harmful microorganisms. No human blood or body fluids. No electrical outlets can be used (batteries OK). No harmful chemicals (bleach, lye) or organic solvents.
We are looking forward to seeing you there!
